The Conference Dinner will be held at Vivere Restaurant at 71 Monroe Street. Owned by the Capitanini family they credit their longevity on the idea of combining authentic Italian dishes with great value. Designed by Jordan Moser, Vivere has become a world re-renowned restaurant. Vivere has received numerous awards for their spectacular wine and food. This contemporary restaurant features “new” Italian cuisine from all regions of Italy.
The cost of the Conference Dinner includes a choice of salad, main entrée, dessert, coffee, tea and white/red wine. Price includes all taxes and gratuity.

Chicago Merchandise Mart Tour – Friday, 12 February 2010 – 3:15 pm (15:15)
Join us for a 90-minute, professionally guided tour of The Merchandise Mart, the world’s largest commercial building. Encompassing 4.2 million gross square feet, The Mart spans two city blocks and rises 25 stories. The tour includes a historical overview of the building, covering its creation by retailer Marshall Field & Co. in 1930 and the purchase by Ambassador Joseph P. Kennedy in 1945. Highlights of the tour include a viewing of the showroom floors that represent contract, residential, decorative accessories and gifts.
Meet at the South Lobby of the Merchandise Mart at 3:15 pm (15:15). The Mart is located at 222 Merchandise Mart Plaza, Chicago, IL.
The South Lobby is by the Marts’ main entrance, which is along the Chicago River.
Please note: The tour does not provide access into the showrooms and does not include a tour of the Apparel Center.
Historic Downtown (south loop): Rise of the Skyscraper – Monday, 15 February 2010 – 3:30 pm (15:30)
Chicago is not only the birthplace of the skyscraper, it is also where most of the innovations in early skyscraper design and technology originated! Take a step back in time for an informative look at some of our world famous early skyscrapers including: Rookery (1888) with its Moorish revival exterior and restored Frank Lloyd Wright interior; Auditorium Building (1889) a masterpiece of engineering, design and acoustics; Marquette Building (1895) an outstanding example of the Chicago School of design; and Chicago Board of Trade Building (1930), one of the city’s most glamorous Art Deco skyscrapers. This 90 minute professionally guided walking tour will give you an appreciation of the outstanding architecture in the south loop area.
This Rise of the Skyscraper tour will meet at 3:30 PM (15:30) at The Chicago Architecture Foundation located at 224 South Michigan Avenue. This will also be the end location of this tour. Taxi’s are readily available for $US4 - $US5.
